Sports Medicine

Sports medicine deals with physical fitness and treatment (or prevention) of associated injuries. At Aveksha, we have a dedicated team of specialists to cater for patients with the above needs.

Arthroscopy

A minimally invasive surgical procedure, used to examine and treat damage of a joint. This is performed using an arthroscope, inserted into the joint with a small incision.

Its advantage over traditional open surgery being, the joint need not be opened up completely. In addition, Arthroscopy reduces recovery time and less scarring.

Arthroscopic surgery is usually performed as an outpatient surgical procedure, ensuring the patient is back home within hours after the surgery. For instance, a knee arthroscopy requires only two small incisions.

Shoulder Surgery and Care

The shoulder, being the most movable joint in the body, is unstable. This increases the likelihood of joint injury and accelerated degeneration.

The team of specialists, at Aveksha, attend to a multitude of issues pertaining to the shoulder, and with access to the latest technology, they’re at the forefront of shoulder-related surgery and care.

Trauma

Trauma is an acute injury to a part of the musculoskeletal system, usually caused during a sudden accident. Orthopaedic trauma could at times be life-altering. Our Orthopaedicians specialise in complex injuries to bones, joints, and soft tissues (like muscles, tendons, and ligaments) throughout the entire body. We also assist patients through the entire recovery process and ensure the resumption of an active lifestyle in a smooth manner.
