Our founder and chairman, Dr. Udaya Ballal, a practicing Orthopaedic Surgeon himself, dreamt of setting up a trauma care centre of global standards in India – a decision he made after practicing for over 30 years in Dubai. Today, his vision is a tangible reality: Aveksha is one of the finest and rapidly growing hospitals in North Bangalore.

It encompasses the core values and mission of our roles as medical practitioners at Aveksha.
As the founder and chairman of one of North-Bangalore’s most affordable and well-equipped hospitals, it has been my vision from the beginning to strive for the highest levels of quality in patient care, surgical outcomes and treatments that are sustainable and comprehensive.

It is a vision that has come to fruition over a decade. With well-equipped facilities, a highly skilled and experienced community of practitioners and extensive infrastructure, we stand at the forefront of sustainable, holistic and affordable healthcare. The informed and strategic combination of skill, technology and our patient-centric approach, equip us to manage all kinds of emergencies thereby making your hospital stay safer, shorter, and pleasant. It is with pride that I say that Aveksha has set up a new standard of patient engagement that is rooted in our tradition of service, excellence and care.
Aveksha’s backbone is our community – the medical practitioners, health workers, and the talented teams at different departments that keep the place running like a robust, pumping heart supplying vital nutrients and ensuring the functioning of all the other organs. I intentionally used the metaphor of the heart, instead of a more apt phrase, “the well-oiled machine,” because we function as a collective of human beings who form the heart of this hospital nourished by the values of care, compassion and commitment.
These values extend to both our patients and our staff. Realizing the impact of cutting edge medical facilities and knowledge in the health and well-being of our patients and the integrity of our field, we have early on espoused a system of providing an array of knowledge and career support and opportunities to our community of medical practitioners. Apart from inspiring our staff to pursue optimum levels of quality, we also encourage and provide learning and growth opportunities to our teams within the organization.

I write this message to you, not only as the Managing Director of Aveksha, but as an active member of the community we serve and a mother of two children. All these roles have become my anchor and compass in building up the best practices at Aveksha, to work on the behalf of our medical community and to keep striving to make an impact in the life of the individuals and families we serve. It is only when the very foundations of health are robust that we can pull through anything together, even the ravages of a global pandemic.
From its early days, I envision the community at Aveksha as a sentient, thinking and feeling life form: A life form that grew powerfully over the years because each of its cells could function collaboratively, steadfastly and enthusiastically. This outlook has equipped me to inspire our teams to be forward-thinking, transformative and fuel the spirit of innovation and collaborative working.
Our employees and co-workers with their unparalleled skill and dedication are one of the biggest strengths of Aveksha. Their and their family’s welfare and wellbeing translates to the wellbeing of the community we serve. For this, we ensure that each individual in our teams are motivated, offered opportunities for learning and growth and provided a safe space to address their concerns.
Our daily concerns with illness and healing calls us to reflect on what “health” fully means. It reminds me of our primary purpose which is to serve others and to see our patients and employees as human beings and not as ‘cases’ or ‘resources.’ We know that economic and social conditions, lack of access to care, education, limited availability of healthy food, poor living and employment conditions, biases, marginalization, etc. all contribute to sickness, disease and sometimes injury. Working in this industry for so long has made me reflect on the true meaning of holistic and sustainable health that encompasses the mental, the physical and the spiritual. It encourages me, to extend my vision of optimum health, to our patients as well as their families, our communities and our coworkers. My promise towards my calling motivates me to keep striving to provide the full spectrum of affordable healthcare needs, as well as continue to advance our facilities so that we may better serve our people.

CEO’s Statement In 2020, medical communities across the country battled many uncertainties from the effects of covid, changing policies, concern over the future of healthcare, the impact of societal upheavals on the wellbeing of individuals, and the increased socioeconomic barriers that influence an individual’s health-seeking behaviors.
I started this note with a contemplation on the key factors that distinguished Aveksha and made us a resilient and thriving organization. Even in the difficult times, we stood by our unwavering commitment to deliver the most comprehensive medical care to every individual whom we serve.
One of the crucial aspects that distinguish a thriving community is how well it answers the healthcare needs of its population. In this, we have made substantial pathways using our customized health approach to individuals and families and prioritizing quality, safety, and patient care. Aveksha is committed to being the clear provider of choice for health care needs as we are driven by a consistent sense of purpose in delivering state-of-the-art care with exceptional attention to quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Health care is very important and so is the personal experience of each individual and their family. This is a responsibility that we take very seriously. Since 2013, Aveksha has served over 45,000 people and has expanded our infrastructure to include 125 beds

One of the core strengths of our hospital is our advanced facilities which are strategically designed for easy accessibility, efficiency and shortening of response time during emergency and continuity of care. Aveksha’s facilities include, best-in-class operation theatre fitted with operating lights, anaesthesia workstations and sophisticated information management system. Our critical care units are equipped with high end patient monitoring devices, integrated CCTVs, ventilators and dedicated isolation rooms. Aveksha also has specialized birthing suites as well as complete treatment facilities for nephrology and dialysis. Our purpose-built laboratories offer comprehensive diagnostic support for patients from any specialty as well as ensure faster results in the shortest time frame. All the buildings of Aveksha are equipped with electronic security systems and integrated CCTVs to provide optimum patient safety and accountability.
