Press Release
Friday, July 8th, Bangalore: Aveksha Hospital, North Bangalore’s premier multi-specialty facility, has announced the launch of its new, advanced Neuro Surgery Department and Nephroplus Dialysis Centre. The opening event was held on July 8th at (4:00 PM) and was conducted in the presence of Aveksha Hospital’s Chairman, Dr. Udaya Ballal followed by a tour of the new units. Chief Guest, Mr. Partibarajan (Corporator BBMP) commenced the ceremony of inauguration which was followed by high tea.
State-Of-The-Art Neuro Surgery Department
Aveksha Hospital’s new Neuro Surgery Department is equipped with state-of-the-art ventilators and the latest invasive and non-invasive facilities to monitor vital functions. The unit is designed to approach the diverse and challenging clinical and surgical needs of neurological and neurosurgical patients.
Speaking about the expanded facilities, Aveksha Hospital’s Chairman, Dr. Udaya Ballal states that the Neuro Surgery Department will provide patients with affordable and comprehensive access to treatment of stroke and other neuro-related illnesses. Aveksha Hospital is equipped to offer neurological evaluation and surgical treatment of patients with brain and spinal injuries.
“In recent times, many related neurological complications are frequently reported in severely or critically ill COVID-19 patients with comorbidities. Early detection and careful observation for minute neurological changes is critical to the survival and recovery of the patient. This needs advanced facilities and teams that are experts in neurocritical care. With each new initiative, we further ensure that each patient at Aveksha receives skilled care and support from our interdisciplinary team of specialists with training in neurology, intensive medicine, and interventional neuroradiology,” he adds.
Nephroplus Dialysis Center
Aveksha has also announced the launch of its new Nephroplus Dialysis Center which has been set up in partnership with Nephroplus, India’s largest dialysis center network. “We are excited about our partnership with Nephroplus as it will bring easy and timely access to high-quality, safe and affordable dialysis services to our patients,” said Ms.Ujjvala Ballal, CEO of Aveksha Hospital. The new facility aims to provide more convenience to the patients as the number of dialysis and kidney care centers are sparse in North Bangalore. Patients can avoid the struggle and apprehension of having to travel considerable distance for treatment especially for critical health issues such as end stage kidney disease or for kidney-related emergencies such as accidents or instances of poisoning.
“This collaboration will allow our team to offer a comprehensive range of treatments for patients suffering from acute renal failure, chronic renal failure, poisoning and other renal disorders,” adds Ms. Ujjvala. This partnership would expand the hospital’s range of comprehensive hemodialysis treatments along with other critical care services which include Plasmapheresis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Hemodiafiltration (HDF), and Sustained low efficiency dialysis (SLED).
Speaking about the need for more integrated and secure services for patients, Ms. Ujjvala Ballal says, “It is our objective to make all our dialysis patients lead productive and independent lives even though they are on haemodialysis. The new center would provide top quality, convenient and comfortable experience to dialysis patients while minimizing any distress.” In India, the number of deaths attributable to Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) rose from 0.59 million in 1990 to 1.18 million in 2016. It is estimated that every year about 2.2 Lakh new patients of End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) get added in India. “The need to make quality dialysis accessible and affordable is our prime focus. With this partnership, we are another step closer to providing a full spectrum of affordable healthcare needs, as well as continue to advance our facilities so that we may better serve our people,” she adds. The Nephroplus dialysis center at Aveksha Hospitals has standardized, international dialysis protocols in place as well a team of experts available 24/7.
“Each initiative or partnership that we undertake strengthens our continued drive for informed medical decision-making and improved patient outcomes. With our investment in these additional innovations, combined with our exceptional teams of professionals, and progressive treatments, we are equipped to provide our patients with the best opportunity to regain their abilities and live their lives to the fullest,” adds Dr. Ballal.
