Job Purpose:
Responsible for to oversee the operations of the Labour ward, ensuring safe and high-quality
care for mothers and newborns

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan and implement nursing activities
• Carry out the doctor’s order within the hospital policy and legal limitations
• Supervise and manage day-to-day operations of the Labour ward
• Maintain records and reports of patient’s medical histories, and monitor developments
  in their health conditions
• Ensure safe delivery practices and adherence to clinical protocols
• Assist obstetricians and gynecologists during normal and complicated deliveries
• Coordinate with NICU, OT, and other departments
• Monitor patients during Labour, delivery, and post-delivery stages
• Ensure availability and proper functioning of Labour room equipment

Job Specifications:

• Qualification: B.sc/Diploma Degree in Nursing, GNM Certification
• Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years in supervisory role preferred.
• Technical Skills / Job related skills: Strong knowledge of obstetrics and Labour room
  procedures
• Management Skills: Be a good team player, maintain good people relations, maintain
  a positive attitude
• Communication Skills: Good command over English, Kannada, Good listening skills
  and ability to display empathy and provide advice
