Admission & Discharge Process

Keeping to our commitment of treating people well, we, at Aveksha, ensure that patients and their families have a
hassle-free hospital experience. To achieve the same, we have our customer care executive in place at every touch point, to hand hold you from admission through to discharge.

Admission Process:

Our customer care executives ensure that each patient gets a unique identification number (UHID). The patient/companions are escorted by the OPD assistant to the admission desk. Then, the admission desk carries out the following steps as listed below:

  • In-depth explanation about the procedure/room tariff
  • Estimated cost for the procedure in need

Patients with Insurance Cover:

  • A minimal advance is received, and pre-authorisation is sent to the insurance company.
  • The IP coordinator works with the insurance desk, on behalf of the patient/companions, to receive pre-authorisation as per eligibility.
  • The IP assistant escorts the patient/companions to the allotted floor, and introduces to the IP floor manager — the
    one-point contact for all concerns.
  • The IP floor manager guides the patient/companions to the assigned room, and orients them to the facilities provided.
  • The IP team takes the responsibility of coordinating with various departments: F&B, housekeeping, and diagnostics to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.

Discharge Process:

When the patient is ready for discharge, the process is actioned by the staff nurse.

  • All concerned departments are intimated
  • Discharge summary is prepared
  • Unused medicines are returned
  • Prescribed medicines are procured
  • Clearances from departments are received
  • Discharge medications are explained
  • items like thermometer are handed over
  • Feedback is collected

The final bill is handed to patient/companions, and is cleared via cash/credit card. In cases of patients with insurance cover, an immediate intimation is sent to the concerned TPA, with the final bill for final clearance, and coordinated by IP team.
